Frequently Asked Questions

  • The consultation is a 15-minute conversation, and that is really all it is. There is no intake paperwork, no clinical assessment, and no obligation. It is a chance for you to share a little about what is bringing you here, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for whether working together seems like the right fit. I will do the same on my end. If it feels right for both of us, we talk about next steps.

  • The intake is our first full session together. It runs a little longer than a regular appointment, usually around 60 minutes. This is where we slow down and go deeper. I will ask about your history, your current situation, what has brought you to this point, and what you are hoping to get out of our work together. It is also a chance for you to ask more questions and get a clearer sense of how I work. By the end, we will have a shared sense of direction.

  • Regular sessions are 45 minutes. Most clients meet weekly, especially at the start, though the rhythm can shift over time depending on what feels right for where you are in the process.

  • That depends entirely on you, your goals, and what comes up along the way. Some people come with a specific focus and find they reach their goals in a few months. Others are working through deeper or more layered experiences and find longer-term support more useful. We check in on this regularly so the work always feels purposeful.

  • All sessions are conducted online. If you are based in Berlin, we can discuss the option of meeting in person.

  • The honest answer is that the consultation is the best way to find out. You do not need to have everything figured out before you reach out. If you are a parent or caregiver of a neurodivergent child and you are struggling, that is enough of a reason to start the conversation.

  • No. My work is specifically with parents and caregivers. The focus is entirely on you and your wellbeing, not on assessing or treating your child.

  • That is more common than you might think, and it is often because the therapist did not have a deep understanding of what life actually looks like for parents of neurodivergent children. If you spent your sessions explaining your world instead of healing in it, that is not a reflection of whether therapy can help you. It is a reflection of fit.
